Clo-sure
THE HISTORY OF COLOUR TV
In this installation, an infinite loop is created on a laser engraved wood disc and a modified Lenco turntable. Sure Enough (Cranes Records 14) from The History Of Color TV begins with -sure, and ends with Clo-, we have put together the beginning and the end to create a loop, with a back path that recomposes so Clo-sure.
This conceptual project questions the support and the duration of a disc, in order to break a ritual of habit where one must flip the disc. The principle of the infinite loop changes the status of the piece: we are more faced with a problem of space and time than with an editing object, the edition becomes an installation.
